Alas, our camera’s batteries ran out before we could get any pictures of the altar where human sacrifices were performed.

Awesome shots! Looks like a fantastic place.

I wish we’d had more than one day to spend in Copán – we probably saw less than half the site, and we skipped the museum and tunnels (you can see the entrance of one the tunnels towards the center of the ‘Acropolis’ photo).

Still, the trip was incredible; we’re already trying to figure out how soon we can go back.

(Oh, and this weekend I should be posting additional pictures over on my site…)
