Although he’s wrong about White Zombie, he’s right about I Walked With a Zombie.

I agree, I Walked with a Zombie is so filled with scene after scene of understated weirdness that I find myself stealing bits from it for my own stories. The hanging goat in the clearing is so powerful that I can still close my eyes and see the scene as if painted on my eyelids, even though it has been sveral years since I have seen it— but wait, it is on AMC this week and I have set the TIVO, so sometime in the next week I will get to be creeped out again. Yeah, baby, lets walk!
